There is No Such Thing as a One-Person Show.

These past five days have been hard work, yet sensational.

I've wrapped up my fifth year as an Art teacher for the AZ public schools and I'm looking forward to my sixth. Laurie and Shane Shellenbarger did a lot of help for our school. That fine couple does an improv show at The Torch Theatre called Tofu Filet. If you ever see them listed on the Torch's schedule, get a ticket right away! Don't even wait a second, get it when you see it! They helped students of the arts, a retired veteran teacher, gifted students, and special need preschool students all in one big afternoon! Thank you, Shellenbargers!

The next day, Phoenix Comicon hit...

So, I need to thank Mike Dynes for running an excellent booth (Mike's Rack), and allowing me to work for it again. He also let me sell some of my own product, which was sweet. Thanks to Russ Kazmierczak and Denny Riccelli for promoting my work in Amazing Arizona Comics and Comics Never Stop respectively. Thanks to Philip Haldiman, Kyle Bennett and Rachel Tullio for making the comic My Big Break happen, it's a wonderful project that I'm proud to be a part of. Thanks to the people of ImprovMania: Brad Walling, JC Carlson, and Trent Fritz. I had awesome panels and friendly fans to make everything fun. Thanks to the people of the Torch Theatre: Shane Carey and Nina Miller. They both contributed to me having great panels, fun times, and wonderful discussions. Thanks to the Great Arizona Puppet Theater's Dain Gore for helping immensely with one of my panels as well. And, a huge thanks to Phoenix Comicon's AJ Hernandez for making those panels happen and dealing with a lunatic like me like a total champ on the phone. Thanks to my wonderful wife Michelle, who constantly picks me up when I am down and gets me back into the race in such a sweet, supportive way. Also, I had an endless array of friends, old and new, who offered me their support as fans and boosters of the morale. I know that I'm missing at least seven dozen people to thank.

I would also like to thank Mack Duncan, Jacque Arend, Jose Gonzalez, and Liz Hutchman who are about to make my "One-Person" Show happen at the Torch Theatre.

This community constantly gives to me, I will never be able to pay it back.

Haldi Enterprises Logo

When Philip Haldiman began the comic book My Big Break, we needed a logo for his newly formed enterprise. Phil's a creative guy. He's a comic book writer, a poet, a journalist, and a podcaster. So, having a logo that's just pegged onto the business of comic books wouldn't do Phil justice. His creativity sparked me to create a hand drawn piece to it, and his professionalism led me to create a piece of the logo that would be more like some one would see in a newspaper or magazine. So, it's a duo logo serving both creativity and professionalism. Thanks Phil, for trusting me with this task!

December 3, 2016... Thank You!

December 3, 2016 = One of the Greatest Days of my Life

The day starts by going out to a nice breakfast at the neighborhood sports bar with my adorable wife. Already the day is sweet.

After that, my dear wife and I went to a special event that happened at Seeds for Autism near downtown Phoenix. It's a great organization. They bring out the best from their students, and it showed. We got some treats and some of the students taught us how to make our own Christmas Tree Ornaments. We made jokes about burnt cookies and superheroes. And, we walked out with some pretty great purchases as well. Already the day is heartwarming.

Then I had a couple of hours to do some fun cartooning work! This day is already fulfilling.

Next, my adorable wife and I go to a birthday party, not just any birthday party... it's the second birthday of our oh-so-cute twin nieces! We got to see lots of family and three of our nieces! Sweet treats, toys, a bouncy house were also involved! Already the day is amazing.

Evening comes. I prepare my space-alien puppet and suit up as "Jolly the Elf" for Chandler's holiday light parade. I got to be in the parade with my buddies from ImprovMania. The folks that perform there are just amazing people and great friends. And, many of the ImprovManiacs brought their adorable families. Those little kids said or did something funny or cute like every half-minute. I sat in the trunk of the ImprovMania car with the puppet. Dave drove the car getting the enormous chants and cheers from thousands upon thousands of smiling attendees of the parade. Then as the car drove by the crowd got a second little piece of humor when they saw me with the puppet. Watching the faces, young and old, light up when they saw me was a true joy. The evening was a blast!

Night has fallen. I pick up my wonderful wife to do an improv show at the Torch Theatre. We see many of our best friends there. We put on a great show that got howls of laughter. This whole day and night was so, so great!

Not everyday can be this perfect. Yet, this one was. Thank you December 3, 2016 and thank you to everyone who was a part of it!

Now, here's a randumb cartoon that I drew about 4-5 years ago.
